I’m walking down the same street again. There’s still a big hole in the sidewalk. I pretend not to see it.
I fall back into it. I can’t believe I’m in the same place.
But there’s nothing I can do about it. It takes me a long time to get out.
Phase 3: Psychotherapy is starting to pay off
I’m still walking down the same street. There’s still the same big hole in the sidewalk.
I can see it clearly. I still fall into it… it’s a habit.
Yet, my eyes are wide open. I know where I am.
I understand that I am responsible for my actions. I leave immediately.
Phase 4: Psychotherapy is over
I’m still walking down the same street. The hole in the sidewalk is still there. I avoid it and continue on my way.
Phase 5: Psychotherapy is over
I choose another street to walk down.
